Diana American Grill NOW OPEN at The Hobby Center

A classic Theater District-style restaurant with creative twists takes center stage at city's premier performing arts facility

The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is raising the curtain on its show-stopping new signature restaurant – Diana American Grill – a classic Theater District restaurant that draws on the long heritage of the grill rooms found in close proximity to great theaters. Named for Diana Hobby – who impacted the Houston community in countless ways and played an instrumental role in the creation of the performing arts center – the restaurant name serves to honor, acknowledge and extend her legacy of grace and generosity.

Commissioned by the Hobby Center Foundation and operated by Spectrum Concessions & Catering – who tapped celebrity chef Robert Del Grande to create a simple yet elegant menu in keeping with a classic Theater District-style restaurant – Diana aims to subtly heighten the totality of the theater-going experience with time-honored dishes served in a warm atmosphere that promotes a sense of comfort and conviviality.

The entirety of the restaurant space, including the oversized outdoor terrace, is available for receptions up to 250 people and seated dinners up to 180. With its dramatic views of downtown, the vast vaulted lobby of the Hobby Center is also available for events up to 500. Both venues are unique spaces for signature events, from social galas and weddings to corporate events.

CURRENT PARKING INFORMATION

Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your performance. Parking is available in the Hobby Center garage with entrances on Rusk and Walker Streets, along with valet service on Bagby Street. Valet and Hobby Center garage parking is subject to space and availability. Large attendance at various performances, coupled with other downtown activities, will create high demand, limiting access and there is a high probability of valet and/or self-parking reaching capacity and closing prior to the start time of a performance.

Overflow parking is available in the Theater District Garage beneath Tranquility Park (Entrance #2). Currently, elevators from the Tranquility Garage to the Hobby Center are not available and tunnel access is limited.
