Important Announcement

Artista at the Hobby Center has closed to make way for a new restaurant concept. A reimagined fine dining experience, including new lunch and dinner menus, along with a new restaurant name will launch before the start of the new theatrical seasons in mid-September. More details will be announced at a later date in celebration and anticipation of the reopening. Patrons can still enjoy dining in the Hobby Center’s Grand Lobby Bistro 1.5 hours prior to performances in Sarofim Hall. For questions regarding future reservations upon the restaurant reopening, please call 713-315-2562.

Current Parking Information

Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your performance. Parking is available in the Hobby Center garage with entrances on Rusk and Walker Streets, along with valet service on Bagby Street. Valet and Hobby Center garage parking is subject to space and availability. Large attendance at various performances, coupled with other downtown activities, will create high demand, limiting access and there is a high probability of valet and/or self-parking reaching capacity and closing prior to the start time of a performance.

Overflow parking is available in the Theater District Garage beneath Tranquility Park (Entrance #2). Currently, elevators and tunnel access from the Tranquility Garage to the Hobby Center are not available.

Security Check

For your safety and security, walk thru detectors will be in use and all bags are subject to inspection before entering the theater. Please allow extra time prior to your performance. Oversized bags, luggage and backpacks may not be permitted inside the theater. For a full list of prohibited items click HERE

Houston, TX – Individual tickets for Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES, go on sale Friday, August 3 at 10 am. The much anticipated Mischer Neurosciences Broadway at the Hobby Center engagement is direct from a celebrated two-and-a-half year Broadway engagement.

With glorious new staging and dazzlingly reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, this breathtaking production of LES MISÉRABLES, which broke box office records during its pre-Broadway tour, has left both audiences and critics awestruck, cheering “Les Miz is born again!” (NY1).

Cameron Mackintosh said, “I‘m delighted that after a four year absence this glorious production is once again touring the major cities across North America and is more spectacular than ever.”

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, LES MISÉRABLES tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption – a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Featuring one of the greatest scores of all time, with thrilling and beloved songs including “I Dreamed A Dream,” “On My Own,” “Stars," “Bring Him Home,” “One Day More,” “Do You Hear the People Sing” and many more, this epic and uplifting story has become one of the most celebrated musicals in theatrical history. Along with the Oscar-winning movie version, it has now been seen by more than 130 million people in 44 countries and in 22 languages around the globe. LES MISÉRABLES is still the world’s most popular musical, breaking box office records everywhere in its 32nd year.
